About Me

I am a mother of three young adults. Having spent nearly all my life in Dublin, I have had a base in Castletownbere since 2018. My dad was born and raised in nearby Cahermore and Bere Island, which is what drew me to the area.

I completed my four year degree level Diploma in Herbal Medicine with Betonica
School of Herbal Medicine in Somerset, UK, which included extensive study of
anatomy and physiology, pathology, clinical skills and pharmacology, as well as plant medicine, alongside over 500 hours of supervised clinical experience. Betonica is one of only four institutions currently accredited by the National Institute of Medical Herbalists in the UK which meets their accepted standard of education and qualification.

I have a science, telecommunications and horticultural background and worked in
these areas for a number of years, taking time out in between to raise my young
children. For me, herbal medicine is the perfect coming together of the natural
healing power of medicinal plants and the science of their individual healing
properties. Many are native to Ireland, growing in our hedgerows and have been
used traditionally for healing for hundreds of years.
I truly believe in the choice that herbal medicine can give to everyone as part of actively looking after their health. It is very effective, gentle and safe.

"I am passionate in supporting you at whatever stage of wellness you are at with herbal medicines chosen specifically for your needs."
